FLAVONOIDS

 Chemically, flavonoids have the general structure of a 15-carbon skeleton,

which consists of two phenyl rings (A and B) and heterocyclic ring (C).

 They have been classified according to their chemical structure, and are

usually subdivided into the following subgroups:

      Anthoxanthins (Flavones and Flavonols),

      Flavanones,

      Flavanonols,

      Flavans

      Anthocyans.

      Isoflavons,

      Chalcons etc.
