Microscopical Characters.—

                                                                          Upper epidermis is composed of

                                                                          prominent epidermal cells with

                                                                          wavy vertical walls and possessing
                                                                          few or no stomata, frequently with

                                                                          brown contents. Lower epidermis

                                                                          of smaller epidermal cells and

                                                                          wavy vertical walls and numerous
                                                                          elliptical stomata. Both

                                                                          epidermises of leaves have

                                                                          numerous colourless or light brown
                                                                          glandular trichomes with 2-4 cells.
