Non-monomeric flavonoids. Flavonoids can also bond to
one another, particularly through their very reactive C-6 or C-
8. The result is a dimer known as a biflavonoid. The majority
of natural biflavonoids are dimers of flavones and flavanones.
Flavonoid oligomers are built from leucoanthocyanes or
anthocyanes units, condensed tannins are polymers of
flavonoids.
Most of these euflavonoids, or flavonoids in the strict
sense (flavanones, flavones, flavonols, and anthocyanins) bear
ring B in position 2 of the heterocyclic ring.
